Sajid Qureshi Secures Satellite Rights for Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 and Leads the Historic Zee-Hombale Joint Venture
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], 6 March: By uniting Zee Entertainment and Hombale Films in a historic partnership, Sajid Qureshi, a 25-year veteran of the film industry and founder of Inbox Pictures Pvt Ltd, has created one of the biggest joint ventures in the sector. The multi-picture collaboration, which places Zee as the primary satellite partner for Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 and has Zee supporting all nine of Hombale's planned films, has been the buzz of the town.
Qureshi, a seasoned negotiator, played a key role in obtaining satellite and distribution agreements that greatly increase Hombale's slate's commercial worth and reach. Amazon Prime Video's purchase of the post-theatrical digital rights for Rs 125 crore is complemented by his facilitation of Zee's collaboration on Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1.
A track record of success in high-impact film commerce lends credence to Qureshi's vision. He has driven major deals for pan-Indian and global projects, including key deal contributions to RRR. His recent commercial successes include Aranmanai, which delivered category-leading TRPs last year, and Vettaiyan: The Hunter; a multi-star project featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth. Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1, directed, written and headlined by Rishab Shetty and produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under Hombale Films, translated critical acclaim into strong marketplace value and helped cement this strategic alliance.
